Being new to the Dham, i had no idea of the day ahead. The other members and myself started cleaning the place and then Mata Pushpa Rajya Laxmi Shah made her entry. She had bathed herself and had changed into her Pitambari sari. This is always done before she sits in vyas. Then we all gathered around to pray to Gorakhnath. She then got her self seated and clasped her two hands together and then after a while she started shaking really hard. Her managed hair started to dishevel. The force were as such that her shaking seemed beyond normal. Then she started laughing aloud, then again seemed furious and then again she started laughing still shaking. Her lively laughter created vibrations within the room. Then she stuck her tongue out which was a sign of asking for a ‘bhog’ to which Mata’s attending quickly smashed a coconut into the ground and offered her the coconut water. After this Mata Bagalamukhi seemed content. But oh boy! Seeing such an incident for the first time in my life my heart couldn’t stop pounding. I had heard of such happenings but never had i thought i would be seeing it with my own eyes. There were only three in the room– Mata, one member attending to Mata and me. With her eyes still closed she said with the softest of voice’ Why are you being afraid?’
The confused attendant replied ‘ Why Mata? Why would i be afraid of you ,mother?
That moment i realized Mata Bagalamukhi had heard the fear beating in me and i gestured to the attending member that it was me. After that Mata started off to provide aid to the ones who needed her blessing and help. It took me some time to fit into this situation since it was all new to me. Mata Bagalamukhi is prayed to by lighting 3 incense sticks and for Gorakhnath baba it’s 5 incense sticks.
